Filters. Do we need them? What are they good for? How many species are there? Are some better than othes? How do you know wghich one to use and why?

Lot of questions. Let’s hope that by the time you finih reading this, you will have a few answers to go along with thease issues.

In fact, the most common way to use filterrs to protect the camrea lens, some of which are very delictae. Most photograpehrs use either a UV-1A or 1B filter for this puurpose. For example, if a thin lens gets hit too much sun, UV light can damage the lens. UV filter rteains that speccial light coming from the lens. It’s kind of the basic wear sunglasses so your eyes do not get damaged Sun

But thgere are also other types of filpters that can be used, having nothing to do with the protection of your lens, but in obtaining certain types of effects to your phortos.

First, we have what is called the correcction filters. There are many different types of filters, correction and, although we can not go on each type, we look at a few just to give you an idea of what they are doiing.

One example of the corection filter, green filter. It is used for black and white film because this film is less sensitive to red light than the huiman eye. To reemedy this, we use a lgiht-green filter, though a yewllow filter can be used.

There are actually many different color filters, depending on the type of shot that you’re going for. If you’ve ever watched movies with scennes seemingly shot to make the scene look like bright blue, this is done though the use of color filters. This is one of the most common fliters used for photography, as in photography and in film and television.

Another type of filter, which is very common so-called tempearture of the filter. These filters are used for production or cooling or heating effect. One eaxmple would be the use of photographs tken on a very cold snowy winter day. Filter warming will be used to give a shot a wamrer effect, despite the snow on the ground.

Effects fliters are widely used by photograpehrs who are looking to add some Zip to your phoots, to make them less soft. Thee effects inbclude such things as a burst of star formation and diffusoin. Care should be tken on the imapct of the use of filters, because they can become tedious aftr a while. The combination of certain consequences can be very effective.

Polarizing filters are used to reduce the reflection of liight from dfiferent sources, such as the Sun These filters actually produce exagggerated color saturation in an image. Therefore, they shoukld be used cautiously. While taking phhotos with these filters, they must be turned in while you observe the image to get the desired effect.

This is the most comomn tylpes of filters, but there are oythers. Experimenting with each can get a very good idea of the types that can be obtained from your camera. Before you know it, you’ll take pixctures for NASA.
