Gone are the days when a phone was just a phone. People had phones to keep in touch with business, love one, friends etc..Today, a phone is much more than a phone. People boast of the brand names that they carry with them, they disply them openly to let others know what brand names that they have. Some are even ashamed to disply their brand names, if it is considered inferior to other brands. There are so many phones on the market today, that it is almost impossible to keep up with the latest or even older brand names. I am listing a few brand names that I know and people are using accross the world. This is by no means an exhusted list. Blackberry,Apple Iphone, Apple Smart phone,Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Kyocera, Motorola, HTC. This list can go on and on. It all depends where you live in the world. In USA and Canada, the younger generation change brands almost every month to keep up with friends and latest trends in the cell phone age.

Spending money on brand names
The cell phone age has created a spending age. Some are in debt becuse of the love they have for cell phones. There are people who cannot afford food but they will have three or four cell phones. People use their credit card to pay for phone plans that they cannot afford , just to keep up with the Jones’. The young generation of cell phone users do not care where the money is coming from to pay for the luxury of a blackberry, apple iphone, smart phone etc… They like it and want it, they will get it. There might be some who are hooked (addicted) on cell phones, they will sacrifice the important things in life: food, shelter, clothing, eduction etc.. just to have their cell phone.

Is brand name Important?
Brand name phones have become a popular household name in the last ten years. People might not remember the name of the schools they attended but they speak loudly of their brand name phones. A brand is just not a brand. There are brands and brands. You listen to the ads on the radio, see them on tv, they do it by comparison. Each one is laying the claim that his brand is the best. The consuming public is to serve as jury and judge in deciding who has the best product to meet their needs. There are some brands that function better than others, have more data, better looking shape and latest gagets to play with. When some people are shopping for cell phones, they do not just shop, they are interested in the latest phone features. When thinking of buying a phone, think of brand name, but most importantly, think if you can afford that brand name phone.

Toyota is not a name that even a single boy in the street would have never heard of. This is the reason that Toyota is becoming more popular now days. With the increase of market value of Toyota, its name is the most reliable and trusted. Toyota is the name that anyone can trust with closed eyes because Toyota has proved itself as the name of quality. It has already introduced a wide range of spectacular cars all setting a new example for its rivals. The Toyota Motor Corporation mainly focuses on the progress of the manufacturing and production of their products in the automotive market. This is the only reason why Toyota remains unopposed in terms of market profitability compared to its competitors or rivals.

On January 14, 2008 in Detroit, MI, the Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc introduced the all-new 2009 Venza crossover sedan in a press conference at the 2008 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). Toyota Venza is going to be raising the crossover vehicle to new ranks by joining a unique blend of sedan refinement and sport utility vehicle (SUV) functionality.

After Toyota Camry, the Toyota motor corporation is going to launch a new car next year which is 2009 in January known as Toyota Venza which will undoubtedly be a great success. As we have to discuss Toyota Venza, so despite the marketing spin, the Venza is surely going to be a strong competitor against the likes of the Saturn Vue, the Dodge Journey, and the Ford Edge.

If we talk about the Edge, the Toyota Venza’s front end looks almost like a Ford beak turned up at the edges in a smile. As Toyota Venza is the upcoming model which is the most awaited car in the market. Mostly like other cars, the Toyota Venza has seating for only five passengers which are almost common. To add to its credit, it is larger and more nicely trimmed than Toyota’s Matrix. Think of it as a shorter, sleeker Highlander.

The Toyota Venza’s maximum towing capacity is 3500 pounds, which is powerful enough for a vehicle such as that it blurs the separation between the RAV4 and the Highlander, Toyota’s car-based SUVs. Toyota Venza’s interior is well managed and quite spacious very much like the typical Toyota fashion. It will be giving a comfortable and luxurious journey to one who will get the lucky chance to be seated in this car. Toyota Motor Corporation is working quite hard on this manifestation of their company, and is expecting a lot from its launch.

The Toyota Venza, which was previewed by the FT-SX Concept shown at Detroit in 2005 and debuted at the ‘08 Detroit show, will go on sale very soon in late 2008 with a 268-hp, 3.5-liter V-6 connected to a six-speed automatic. After a couple of months, an unpredictable huge 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine will be within your reach. Its additional specifications are that it is a six-speed automatic. V-6-powered cars will soon ride on twenty-inch wheels, while four-cylinder models will have nineteen-inch rolling stock.

Toyota Venza is getting more and more popularity now a day, although it is not yet launched. It is on a high demand in the market. Toyota Venza is a name which is going to be heard soon in late 2008.

Now shrink it again. The pencil-thin iPod nano packs the entire iPod experience into an impossibly small design. So small, it will take your music places you never dreamed of.

Believe Your Ears Call it astonishing. Unbelievable. Impossible, even. Then pick it up and hold it in your hand. Take in the brilliant color display. Run your thumb around the Click Wheel. Put on the earbuds and turn up your music. That’s when everything becomes clear: It’s an iPod.

The iPod nano is the same thickness as a #2 pencil. It holds up to three days’ worth of music. It plays for up to 14 hours between battery charges.(1) It displays the color album art for the song you’re listening to right now. It carries your photos, podcasts and audiobooks. It syncs seamlessly with iTunes. It connects to a host of iPod accessories. Simply put, iPod nano is 100-percent iPod. And then some.

Touch and Go iPod nano’s Click Wheel puts music under your thumb. Click to fast-forward, rewind, play, pause or access menus. Use the touch-sensitive surface to control volume or browse music. You can do it all without looking. But with an iPod this beautiful, who’d want to?

Up to 1 GB(2) of skip-free storage on a featherweight iPod means you can wear almost three days’ worth of music around your neck. Or jog with 240 songs on your arm. Now that you can take your music everywhere, there’s no limit to where it will take you.

1 in 3000.com offers people who love to play games a chance to come together to test their skills in sports competitions with fantastic prizes. Unlike other online gambling, betting, lottery and casino games, each spot the ball competition is a game of skill and judgement where both the thrill of playing and the odds of winning are higher. Taking part is easy, winning is a question of skill.

The outcome of all 1in3000.com games is uniquely based upon the player’s skill rather than chance. The random odds that are typical of online poker games, black jack and other forms of betting are eliminated by 1 in 3000.com as the odds of winning are greatly increased by limiting the number of players in each game to 3000; hence the name 1in 3000.com.

1in3000 competitions are games of skill and as such comply with UK lottery regulations. Each entrant has opportunity to use their skill and knowledge to increase their chances of winning fantastic luxury prizes. Whilst the starting odds are dependent on the number of tickets sold - 3000 for each game - you can greatly increase your chances of winning incredible prizes by applying your skill, judgement and sports expertise in each game you play.

1 in 3000.com brings the traditional fun of spot the ball competitions that used to be found in newspapers to online players, with the added bonus of the chance to win luxury prizes in every game. Each spot the ball competition uses an original photograph of a real game of sport such as football, rugby, golf, cricket or tennis. The ball is removed from the picture and players must use their skill and judgement to decide the position of the missing ball.

At that time Khokhloma tableware production was not large scale. It was because of expensive imported tin. In 1720s after the end of the North War tin flow to Russian increased. The price went down and the material came within reach of many masters. The production and the sales of brightly painted hand made art works expanded.

Thus in the XIX century items with khokhloma painting were famous not only in Russia but in Persia, India, Middle East, the USA and Australia as well. The export of khokhloma items grew after the worldwide exhibition in 1889 in Paris.

In 1916 Nizhegorodskoye Zemstvo established the first School for Wood-Working Arts and Crafts in Semyonov. The folk arts and folklore flourished in Volga region near Nizhny Novgorod province. No other territory in Russia could equal it in the number and originality of the folk arts and crafts that had sprang to life and were developed in the local communities. The Khokhloma art painting on wooden tableware is the type of Nizhny Novgorod folk art craft that became most popular in Russia and foreign countries.

The “grass-leaves” decorative ornaments and their peculiar color scheme suggest that the Khokhloma art is rooted in the ancient Russian decorative culture while the imitation of gilt ornaments on wood dates back to the medieval Russian handicraft skills. The painting technique has been somewhat upgraded but remains essentially the same as in the ancient time.

Khokhloma russian painting amazes you with its delicate grass pattern and festive coloring, which is based on combination of scarlet cinnabar and flittering gold against the black lacquer background. This is Khokhloma specific feature. Masters used tin powder and lacquer to obtain such gold color. Now they use aluminum powder.

First, the art tableware are shaped on a lathe from the dried lime wood, which are turned into bowls, vases, mugs, dishes and spoons.

They are dried and covered with red and brown primer, so that they start looking like earthen. The unpainted articles are now coated with drying oil. Next they are polished with powdered aluminium. They become dull shining, like silver, and go to the painting division. Painted articles are then varnished and hardened in ovens at the temperature of 120-130 degrees. The heat turns the varnish yellow, the “silver” into “gold” and mellows the vivid design with an even, golden tone.

The Khokhloma dishes, cups and wooden drink pots were used for serving food at holiday feasts. The wooden tableware using at the Moscow house of an important statesman had to look valuable; accordingly, they were modeled on the rich painted plates decorated with real golden fabricated by the jewelers for the luxurious homes of the Russian nobility. Thanks to the special varnish and high-temperature processing they are quite practical and safe in use. You can drink and eat using these Khokhloma tableware, because such wares not sensitive to cold and hot, salty and sour food.

Apart from Khokhloma wood presents of tableware most visitors to Russia will have at least one set of Matrioshka dolls in their luggage. These dolls within dolls have long been a source of fascination. The undoing of the main doll to reveal others almost ad-in-finitem has always produced wonderment and appreciation for the woodcrafts art.

Examples of beautiful Khokhloma wood art presents, Paleh and Mstera varnished miniatures you can look at art store online site. It is amazing that what started out as a true folk tradition over 300 years ago is still thriving and remains basically true to it’s roots, albeit on a more organized scale.

That is the title of a well-loved old hymn. Imagine standing on that hill 2000 years ago witnessing the nailing of Jesus on the cross. Here he is already near death after a heavy crown of thorns had been sunk deeply into his skull. His back is covered with deep, oozing stripes caused by merciless flogging, and his strength had completely waned under the weight of the cross, which he had been forced to drag outside the gate of the city of Jerusalem.

This Jesus they crucified with three nails; one through the middle of each hand, and one through his two feet. They needed to make sure that this guy would not escape! Why? Because he had claimed to be the Son of God. Just one week earlier multitudes thronged around him as he rode into Jerusalem on a donkey, waving palm branches and shouting: Hosanna: Blessed is the king of Israel who comes in the name of the Lord!” They had been witness to and/or recipients of the thousands of miracles Jesus had performed in their midst. They knew he was no ordinary man. Although they did not understand the hundreds of prophesies about what the messiah had to go through and why, they knew he was a man of God, and they wanted to crown him king. (John 12)

Here now on the cross: “he is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief; and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. (Isa. 53: 3) This is no pretty picture. This is the portrayal of one man on whom was placed every sin and every sickness that ever would be committed! “Himself took our infirmities and bare our sicknesses” (mat.8: 17) and: “Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; …but he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we ARE healed.” (Isa. 53: 4-5). Yes, this prophetic verse foretold his crucifixion hundreds of years earlier. Yet, there in print it tells you that you ARE healed - in the present tense, as if it had already happened!

They then pierced him with a sword to ensure that he was dead, fulfilling the scripture: “They shall look on him whom they pierced.” (John 19) Many other scriptures were realized that day, including the power of forgiveness, as he spoke over his persecutors: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34) At the moment of his death the heavy veil of the temple was rent in two from the top to the bottom, giving us a symbolic direct access to the God. No more do we need to go through a mediator! (Mat. 27:51-53).

Standing there in your mind’s eye surveying the cross and looking upon his scarred, unrecognizable face and body, thank Him for your healing, and believe that you have it. Now you can look straight into his glorious face as, subsequent to his descent into hell, he was raised up by the Holy Spirit and is now reigning on high! He “spoiled principalities and powers (the devil), he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it” and He did it all for you! You can now live a victorious life here and with Him in eternity. He did it once and for all, summing it up with His very last words: “It is Finished.” (John 19:30)

This means that many developers who rely on Flash, Flex, or Silverlight have been able to create web applications for every operating system other than Mobile Safari. However, recently, Microsoft worked with Apple to develop some changes to Silverlight so that it can be used to stream videos on iPhones. This does not indicate a sudden change of heart by Apple. Browser plug-ins for the iPhone are still restricted but Microsoft has adapted its server to enable Silverlight encoded video to be shown on an iPhone using the well known HTML5 video tag.

The Back Story

It has always been the case that Apple products strictly follow some rules of exclusivity allowing the company to decide what will and will not be compatible with their devices. Some have seen this as one of the major limitations of Apple and subsequently iPods and iPhones while others argue that this gives Apple its only opportunity to fairly compete with Microsoft when it comes to personal computing and web devices. Whatever your stance, the fact remains that this lack of cross compatibility has forced some developers to create RIA and mobile web spaces specifically for iPhones and iPods while the rest of the developers create applications that are compatible across the spectrum of mobile devices, with the exception of iPods and iPhones. While iTunes and the AppStore are highly successful endeavours drawing a wide range of development talent, the battle for audience has prevented many developers from making the switch, especially since this often requires further investment in development resources. Moreover, this issue has been the topic of lengthy discussion as the world of developers has waited with baited breath for the first fully compatible development tools.

While there are still no platforms that will work with all devices, Microsoft has recently spent time working with Apple in order to enable Silverlight video streaming on iPhones. At their 2009 Professional Developers Conference, Microsoft demonstrated this new capability which is the result of server changes rather than plug-in changes. Microsoft’s IIS7 server software has been modified so that it is now capable of sending Quick Time compatible streams to an iPhone while still embedded with an HTML5 video tag.

Much like Flash, Silverlight is a .NET authoring runtime for mobile web applications but offers cross-device, cross-browser, and cross-platform solutions that works identically on Apple and Microsoft operating systems. iPhone users had, until now, a number of problems receiving their content, especially with regards to media content like broadcasting. Microsoft therefore wanted to find an acceptable method to provide users with content.

How It Works

One of the most beneficial features of Silverlight is that it is able to share the same content on multiple platforms without the need to create a version that is specific to different platforms. This has also been a long-standing benefit of using Adobe Flash or Adobe Air but developers lacked the tools for cross-compatibility with iPhone and iPod operating systems. In fact, Silverlight is Microsoft’s answer to Adobe development tools but we still have not reached compatibility with Apple.

Originally developed to provide streaming video, Silverlight has evolved into a tool that can run full web applications. The first step in iPhone compatibility however has been Microsoft adapting to streaming video. Essentially, Silverlight can run MPEG-2 files so Microsoft decided to create a server-side solution to stream videos on the iPhone. Microsoft’s IIS Media Services have been enabled to respond to information from an iPhone and transcode immediately to H.264 format. As a result, content providers who are already using IIS Media Services can share content with iPhones without separate encoding for videos or the need to maintain separate content delivery systems. In other words, Silverlight will use the HTML5 video tag to communicate a Quick Time request through the IIS server which then transcodes the message into MPEG-2 format. Users will then have a wider range of applications and videos that can play on their iPhone. For example, Netflix will now be iPhone compatible.

The Advantages

The main impetus for Microsoft to adapt for iPhone users is simple: money. Silverlight, if all things go to plan, will become the only development tool that is truly cross compatible giving developers a huge motivational force for using this product. More users will get more content, yes, but Microsoft will also position themselves as the market leader for mobile web and RIA development tools. As it stands, Adobe Flash and Flex are typically regarded as the favourites for developers but by opening the doors to iPhones and the greater audience that comes with it, developers will have little reason to use alternate tools.

On the other hand, the expansion of the notion of cross compatibility could completely transform the tools that we use. As mobile web has become more and more popular over the past couple of years, there have been more and more uses for these online applications. The value of using one system across devices ensures that no matter what site you visit, no matter what application you use, your mobile device will function smoothly and efficiently.
